IY LEGAL recently won a LCIA Arbitration for a commodity trader client.
The case involved various cargoes of Russian Steam Coal under a sales contract for a total purchased quantity of 200,000 mts, for shipments from Russian ports to Greece. IY LEGAL represented the Seller who had various claims for sums due and for damages for non-performance by the Buyer. The LCIA Tribunal, in its final Award, awarded IY LEGAL’s client 100% of its claim, plus interest. IY LEGAL also secured an Award for 100% of its client’s legal costs.
