The LME has introduced an OTC booking fee, which, it states, is intended to rebalance the disparity between LME and OTC contract fees. The booking fee is set at USD 1.00 per equivalent LME lot and will be paid by financial institutions per OTC trade executed in the place of a LME client contract. The LME reports that this amounts to 4 cents per ton for aluminium or copper.
The new OTC booking fee will take effect from 1st June 2018.
