IY LEGAL has recently won an LMAA Arbitration for a well-known international commodities and shipping client, concerning a failed Petcoke cargo sale to a receiver in Tunisia.
The case involved detailed issues of contact formation and ascertainment of terms, repudiation, renunciation and damages for ‘loss of bargain’ under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, Section 50(3).
Our clients were awarded their entire damages claim in full, plus interest and costs.
